Understanding the challenges of the ecological transition.

Are you concerned by ecological and social issues? Do you want to understand the causes and consequences of global warming, and what you can do to mitigate it at your own level? Good news: you don't have to become an engineer, scientist or negotiator at the next COP to take action! If you're at that stage where you want to understand the ecological and social stakes (one can't go without the other ☝️) and make an impact in your job, here's an article to help you take your first steps in the transition. Here you'll find resources and tools to help you learn more about this vast subject !

Group workshops

There's nothing better than a group workshop to help you understand the origins of global warming, its effects on our society and the first steps you can take on an individual level! Group workshops help you to feel less alone in exploring this not-so-fun subject, and to share more ideas for solutions thanks to shared knowledge.

Conferences and Moocs

In addition to workshops, online training courses also enable you to deepen your knowledge on one or more subjects of your choice. For example, you can follow Moocs or conferences lasting from 10 minutes to a few hours. The advantage of an online format is that you can listen to the videos whenever you like, and even listen to them again if there are things you want to clarify!

When it comes to conferences, you'll find talks by Jean Marc Jancovici, Aurélien Barreau and Camille Etienne, some of the most famous names in ecology!

Here are a few examples of Moocs for learning about and understanding ecology:

Many associations are fighting to protect the environment and adapt to climate change. A good way to learn is to be out in the field, so why not volunteer with one of them ?

Here are a few examples of associations:

In fact, the skills you'll acquire can be seen as an added value in any sector you work in, as knowledge of these subjects is lacking in many organizations.
