Climate finance opportunties for finance and legal professionals
The roles below sit within a 12-month fellowship created to close the talent gap in climate finance. It helps mid-career finance professionals pivot into purpose-driven, climate-focused work especially within nonprofits and civil society across the Global South. Fellows are embedded in high-impact host organizations, taking on core finance or strategy responsibilities. Alongside the placement, Fellows participate in a cohort experience that includes:
- Tailored training in climate and leadership
- One-to-one coaching and mentorship
- Peer learning and community exchange
- Access to professional networks in climate and development
The fellowship is led by Surge Climate Talent (SCT), with a program design and delivery by Global Good x Amani, an impact consulting and leadership development firm. Together they ensure hosts are supported, Fellows are set up for success, and the broader climate finance ecosystem is strengthened.
This pathway is ideal for private or public sector professionals with solid finance experience who may be new to climate or nonprofit work, and is also open to current nonprofit practitioners sekking to specialize in climate finance.
