From August 12-16, grassroots organizers and community leaders from across Asia will gather in The Philippines for the 2026 Climate Justice Camp.

The Climate Justice Camp is the largest in-person organizing platform of its kind. Every year, hundreds of passionate community leaders come together for a week-long gathering to build relationships, share learnings, and spark ideas on how to achieve truly transformative change. Since 2022, almost 2,000 people from over 100 countries have participated. Global editions have taken place in Tunisia (2022), Lebanon (2023), Tanzania (2024), and Mexico (2025), with regional iterations held in the Caribbean (2024) and Latin America (2025). In 2026, the third regional Climate Justice Camp will come to Asia for the first time.

The 2026 Climate Justice Camp is happening in Cebu, The Philippines, from August 12-16. This is a regional edition of the camp, and applications are open to people from Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, East Asia, as well as the neighboring Pacific Islands; along with people from these regions who are part of the diaspora.

This camp is for people who are actively working on issues related to justice in their local communities, and who want to connect with others across the region to build relationships, share learnings, and spark transformative ideas. Participants always represent a broad range of issues, including climate justice, conservation, adaptation, environmentalism, water rights, human rights, women’s rights, and Indigenous rights, to name a few.

Admission to the camp is free, and the host organizations are covering the costs of accommodation, food and transportation within Cebu. Participants are asked to cover the costs of travel to Cebu, and any VISA-related costs if needed. To check which visa you may require, click here. There will be some financing available to sponsor the costs of travel to the Philippines, but this is limited and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. For those awarded full or partial travel sponsorship, they will be processed as a reimbursement upon arrival at the camp.

The Climate Justice Camp is a platform for community organizers to build relationships, develop skills through daily workshops, share best practices and lessons learnt from the field, and use the space as fertile ground for inspiration on how to create change at the sub-national level. In short, it’s a space where organizers from frontline regions can come together to build community and deepen their impact in the fight for climate justice.
