About the fellowship

The Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) Fellowship Program supports early- to mid-career professionals from our member Countries in the fields of human, animal, or environmental health via fellowship placements. Our SEAOHUN Fellows gain practical experience working on One Health issues at leading research institutions from various sectors throughout Southeast Asia.

Objective

The SEAOHUN Fellowship Program aims to bolster the One Health workforce by providing early to mid-career professionals from our member countries in human, animal, or environmental health disciplines with practical experience in addressing One Health issues. This is accomplished by matching fellows with leading academic and research institutions, government agencies, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, or private sector entities in Southeast Asia.

SEAOHUN 2026 Fellowship Program

Early- to mid-career professionals in human, animal, or environmental health across ASEAN—this is your chance to gain hands-on experience tackling climate-driven One Health challenges through the ASEAN One Health Climate Fellowship 2026.

The ASEAN One Health Climate Fellowship Program aims to strengthen regional workforce capacity to address climate-related health threats, foster sustained cross-sectoral and cross-country collaboration and knowledge exchange, and generate actionable knowledge products to inform climate-health policies and practices at the ASEAN and national levels.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be citizens of a SEAOHUN member country (Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam).
Professionals with experience in One Health-related disciplines.
Applicants must be 40 years old or younger at the time of the application deadline.
Applicants must be available to work full-time and on-site with the host organization for the entire fellowship duration, approximately for 4 (four) months during November 2026 to February 2027.
Preferably, applicants should have academic and/or professional backgrounds relevant to One Health and Climate, such as environmental health, biological sciences, epidemiology, human health, public health, veterinary medicine, climate change, environmental science, or other related fields. (Please refer to each Terms of Reference below for specific requirements.)
Strong communication skills are required.
Applicants must demonstrate professional proficiency in both oral and written English.
