Key responsibilities

Design and develop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and associated components using industry-standard software and tools
Conduct technical analysis and feasibility studies for solar energy projects to assess viability and optimise system performance
Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for solar installations and equipment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, electrical engineers, and installation specialists to ensure designs meet project requirements
Perform system simulations and modelling to predict energy output and identify potential efficiency improvements
Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Review and evaluate supplier proposals and equipment specifications for solar components and materials
Provide technical support during project implementation and troubleshoot design-related issues in the field
Stay current with advancements in solar technology and industry best practices to enhance design capabilities
