Development Entrepreneurship

Introduction

The Development Entrepreneurship (DE) Fellows Program is an initiative of the Coalitionsfor Change (CfC) program, jointly implemented by the Australian Government and The Asia Foundation in the Philippines. It aims to support individuals and teams who are leading or pursuing policy reforms and systems change aligned with CfC's thematic priorities, particularly in the areas of Governance and Gender.

The program provides selected fellows with mentorship, capacity building, and small grants to implement promising reform strategies grounded in DE principles. These principles emphasize working on complex problems through experimentation, strategic adaptation, and strong leadership.

Getting Started

To apply, interested teams must first ensure they meet the basic eligibility requirements. Participation is open only to those who have attended a Development Entrepreneurship Workshop, or any other DE learning activities, which introduces the core frameworks and principles that guide this approach to reform. Reform ideas must be relevant to the CfC priority sectors and demonstrate a clear intention to create systemic change.

Applicants must also be prepared to work in teams. A successful application will highlight the collective grit, discipline, and complementary skillsets of the group, all of which are critical to navigating real-world reform challenges.
