Women Champions in the Water Sector Fellowship

Angat Buhay, in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Philippines and Save Philippine Seas, in collaboration with the Manila Water Foundation, is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Women Champions in the Water Sector. The 5-day fellowship program will be held from 22 March until 26 March 2026 in Metro Manila.

This transformative fellowship program is tailored for women professionals who aspire to become influential leaders in the water sector. It aims to significantly enhance the capacity and skills of emerging women leaders, equipping them with the support and tools necessary to make a lasting impact within the industry. This year's program has a focus on policy advocacy. Candidates must have a policy-related idea, initiative, output, or project to further refine during the in-person program. This can include, but is not limited to, developing a policy brief, a campaign to increase awareness on a law or regulation, or an initiative to increase compliance to an existing law.

Eligibility criteria:

Women professionals in middle to upper management roles with at least two (2) years of experience in the water sector or water-adjacent fields (environment, climate, WASH, agriculture, urban planning, public health, energy, or disaster resilience)
Candidates must be actively engaged in water-related work, policy, research, or advocacy (e.g., rivers, watersheds, utilities, marine ecosystems, and community access)
This application form will also require you to upload the following:
A two-paged CV/resume that highlights your professional experience
One reference letter from a direct supervisor, board member, or mentor that includes your strengths, current role, and years of service in your organization. The letter must also confirm that you will be permitted to take a leave during the duration of the in-person program.
