Climate Career Accelerator in Southeast Asia. Built by Jobs that makesense Asia
The climate and impact space in Southeast Asia is growing quickly. But for many professionals, it still feels hard to enter. The sector is fragmented across industries and countries. Job titles vary widely. And even when people are motivated, the biggest question remains the same. Where do my skills actually fit.
That is why Jobs that makesense Asia built the Climate Career Accelerator. Our mission is to help the region’s workforce access and grow opportunities in the impact space. Because when more people can build meaningful careers in climate and sustainability, the impact economy grows. That growth is part of what drives the just and fair transition our region needs.
In the first few weeks after launching, we saw the demand clearly. Over 120 learners have already benefited from our support. We received over 600 applications. More than 2,500 people joined our online meetups and in-person networking events across Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, and Singapore. The motivation is real. So in 2026, we are doubling down on learning programmes, masterclasses, and networking events that connect people more directly with employers and practitioners working on the transition.
What the Climate Career Accelerator is
The Climate Career Accelerator is a 4-week online programme designed to help people navigate the climate sector in Asia and build meaningful, future-proof careers. It is built for clarity and action. Not just information.
Instead of only explaining what climate work is, the programme helps you translate what you already know into climate-relevant roles. You will learn how the sector is structured. You will explore role pathways. And you will build a clear career narrative you can use in job applications and interviews.
Time expectation is simple and realistic. Around 3 hours per week.
Who this programme is for
This programme is for you if you are exploring climate and impact work and want to transition without starting from zero.
It is also for early to mid-career professionals who want to identify which climate roles fit their skills. Especially if you are coming from traditional fields such as marketing, tech, finance, operations, engineering, research, or policy and want to translate your experience into climate-relevant roles.
If you are already working in sustainability but feel stuck, this can help you gain clearer direction, role clarity, and next steps. If you want a structured path to move from interest to action, and actually follow through, this programme was built for that.
For teams, we also support employers exploring climate upskilling for their people.

What makes this programme Southeast Asia focused
The mentors and practitioners invited into the programme are from Southeast Asia or have built deep expertise through Southeast Asian practices. This matters because climate work is not identical across regions. The realities of hiring, policy context, and organisational structures differ by country and sector.
Our goal is to make the guidance usable for professionals across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia Pacific region. Not abstract, not imported advice that does not translate.
What you get inside the programme
Across both self-paced and cohort-based tracks, you receive weekly modules with tools, interviews, and sector insights. You also receive a certificate of completion.
More importantly, you finish with clarity and a prepared career narrative. That means you can explain where you fit, what you bring, and what you are targeting with more confidence and precision.
Cohort-Based Track
Fully online and accessible across Asia Pacific. Weekly modules with tools, interviews, and sector insights. Certificate of completion. Standard access of 4 weeks to complete the programme.
You also join a scheduled cohort with 20+ members. There are two live sessions to kick off and wrap up the programme. You get a dedicated community channel for feedback, planning, and peer support. You also gain access to the alumni network after completion.
This option is best if you want structure, accountability, and peer energy while you build your direction.

What we do not promise
We do not promise talent placements, referrals, or guaranteed hiring outcomes. Climate career transitions still require effort, practice, and iteration.
What we do provide is a structured pathway that helps you focus your direction, strengthen your positioning, and avoid months of scattered trial and error.
Pricing and access
To make the programme more inclusive, we are moving the Climate Career Accelerator to a Pay What You Can model. If you can afford it, paying the recommended price of USD 150 helps cover the minimum cost of the programme and supports the creation of new learning content, events, and job opportunities for the wider community.

How to transition to a climate career without starting from zero
We hear the same concerns across the region. “Less option in my country.” “It’s hard to find an entry level job in Indonesia.” “I don’t have the knowledge and experience.” “Not sure what strengths or skills to highlight.” “Unclear what certifications matter.” These are not small worries. They are valid signals that the market can feel uneven and confusing, especially for early to mid-career professionals.
