That’s why we created portrait features, two ongoing series that spotlight individuals building meaningful careers in the development and sustainability sectors. Through these stories, we hope to inspire you to imagine yourself in the field, connect with others walking a similar path, and see the green economy not as an abstract ideal but as a space where you belong.

“My Sustainability Story” is a series that brings to life the real, often nonlinear journeys of people who chose to pursue a more sustainable way of working. Whether they are full-time professionals, volunteers, or students still exploring their path, each story captures what it truly means to take action for the planet in your own way.

This series exists to humanize sustainability, to show that it isn’t reserved for experts or those with environmental degrees. It’s for people who care and choose to act, even when they don’t have it all figured out. Each story explores what inspired the transition, what challenges they faced, and what keeps them going.
