Role Overview:

The Chief of Staff will serve as a key strategic and operational partner to the Managing Director, supporting decision-making, improving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring business priorities are executed effectively. This position is responsible for driving efficiency, streamlining and facilitating an effective flow of communication, and fostering a high-performance culture within the startup.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership
  • Collaborate closely with the MD to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with the studio's goals
  • Serve as a liaison between the Managing Director and key internal and external stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, startups, and relevant organizations, as defined in the Studio’s stakeholder engagement strategy
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market changes, and product updates to effectively communicate and position the company's ventures.
  • Operations Management and Process Improvement
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute relevant projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Develop project plans, track progress, and manage risks effectively.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting systems to provide real-time visibility into key metrics. Review and monitor KPIs and metrics to ensure operational efficiency and achievement of key objectives
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage the day-to-day operations of the Venture Studio
  • Communication and Coordination
  • Facilitate clear communication within the studio and across departments
  • Help to prepare for board meetings and regular updates to leadership on project status, challenges, and opportunities
  • Manage calendars efficiently, optimizing the Managing Director's time and commitments including representing the Managing Director in meetings and events where necessary.
Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) is a plus but not required.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in the energy industry, project management, innovation, or related fields
  • Experience working in venture building, startups, or innovation hubs is advantageous
  • Strong tract record of successful project management and strategic planning
