Purpose of the Role
The Lead of Partnership & Fundraising is responsible for driving ABLE’s strategic partnerships and fundraising initiatives to ensure long-term sustainability and impact. This leadership role combines external relationship management with resource development to strengthen ABLE’s programmes, services, and strategic priorities. The role focuses on cultivating corporate, community, and philanthropic partnerships that expand ABLE’s network, enhance donor engagement, and advance ABLE’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate/Philanthropic Partnership, CSR & Volunteer Management
- Develop and execute ABLE’s corporate partnership strategy to meet fundraising, sponsorship, and corporate giving targets.
- Develop initiatives to strengthen ABLE’s CSR and inclusive employer positioning.
- Identify and pursue synergistic partnerships with companies, institutions, and foundations to co-create long-term giving frameworks, CSR projects, and joint advocacy opportunities.
- Innovate and scale large-scale partnership initiatives, such as corporate adoption of ABLE as a long-term beneficiary, influencer and ambassador collaborations, and third-party fundraising campaigns (e.g. peer-to-peer, cause-marketing, run-for-able initiatives).
- Develop customised proposals and impact narratives that align ABLE’s goals with corporate partners’ sustainability or CSR objectives.
- Design and direct high-impact community and employee engagement projects, ensuring deliverables meet partner expectations and advance ABLE’s visibility.
- Project manage all partnership work plans, ensuring timely execution, value creation, and accountability.
- Lead the planning and execution of ABLE’s volunteer engagement strategy, including recruitment, training, and retention of individual and group volunteers.
Fundraising
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with ABLE’s priorities and annual fundraising goals, including initiatives to grow organisational reserves and long-term sustainability.
- Strengthen ABLE’s fundraising infrastructure and capabilities through multi-channel platforms, including digital fundraising (e.g. giving.sg), monthly donor programmes, corporate sponsorships, and peer-to-peer giving.
- Conceptualise, plan, and execute flagship fundraising events (e.g. Gala Dinner, Golf Tournaments etc) that continuously elevate donor experience and deliver strong ROI.
Donor Engagement
- Cultivate and steward high-value donors through targeted relationship management, ensuring sustained donor satisfaction and engagement.
- Build and lead a multi-disciplinary team to enhance donor, partner, and community engagement that supports ABLE’s cause.
- Proactively expand ABLE’s donor pipeline through new donor acquisition channels, community giving initiatives, and legacy giving programmes.
- Coordinate an aggressive and structured grant acquisition strategy to optimise funding for ABLE’s 4R services, including from Caritas, NCSS, SG Enable, and private Foundations.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Drive donor data analytics and segmentation to strengthen donor insights, forecasting, and relationship strategies.
- Establish KPIs and monitoring systems for partnership effectiveness across all 4R components
- Prepare comprehensive reports on programme outcomes, partnership impact, and client success stories
- Manage partnership budgets and ensure cost-effective resource allocation
- Conduct regular partnership reviews and implement improvement strategies
- Ensure accurate reporting and regular updates on key initiatives and results to the CEO, Management Team, and Board, supporting informed strategic decisions.
Team Leadership & Organisational Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across fundraising, partnerships, and communications to achieve strategic goals.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with programme, finance, and communications teams to ensure integration of fundraising and operational priorities.
- Instill a culture of innovation, accountability, and results orientation within the team.
- Support the CEO and Board in high-level stakeholder engagements and donor relations as part of ABLE’s broader strategic outreach.
