ADM Capital Foundation is recruiting for a new project on Hong Kong’s exposure to imports of seafood from illegal, unregulated and unreported sources.

The project team is looking to recruit an experienced part-time Outreach Leader who will act as the public face of the campaign and spokesperson for the project.

Role and Responsibilities of the Outreach Leader

• Works with the team to identify and map stakeholders related to the seafood trade and policy makers in Hong Kong, and an approach to interacting with them.

• Supports the translation of a White Paper into targeted engagement materials for different audiences.

• Leads engagement with seafood industry players support of the project's solution-focused objectives.

• Takes part in meetings with key stakeholders.

• Works with a communications specialist to devise the communications strategy for the project.

• Works closely with the project manager and other team members to ensure activities are well coordinated and aligned with the wider project strategy, budget, timeline and deliverables.

Profile

Desired Experience

• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in stakeholder outreach, public affairs, NGO program delivery, policy engagement or strategic communications designed to deliver positive impact or outcomes.

• Experience engaging external stakeholders such as coalitions or civil society partners. Having worked for the seafood industry / policy makers / government would be an advantage.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Cantonese and English, with the ability to tailor messages to key stakeholders.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-partner project environment and to manage relationships diplomatically.

• Familiarity with environmental, marine conservation, fisheries, seafood trade, traceability or related policy issues would be an advantage.
