Job Description

An opportunity for a Internship Student in Agricultural Services & Oilseeds Team to gain experience in whole process of Global Trade activities including not limited to Trading Activities, Operational Process, & Risk Management in order to understand how commodity trading activities is executed from upstream to downstream.

The intern will have reporting line to the General Manager, with the opportunity to understand the business environment, and gain exposure to workings of the different departments involved in commodity trading business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of local, national and global market trends, calculate business margins and their effect on commodity pricing, and manage local bids/offers
  • Strive to understand customer requirements and effectively deliver a best in class customer experience to differentiate ADM from the competition
  • Work to make quick decisions in a fast market while accepting the responsibility to defend them logically
  • Understand the local freight market dynamics to calculate and execute the best logistics tactics for ADM
  • Network to attain positive, collaborative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions
  • Engage with accounting and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate accounting and contract management
  • Effectively communicate competitive advantages and vulnerabilities to further the development and success of ADM to key internal stakeholders
Profile

Qualifications

  • Final year student of Fresh Graduate from Economic & Business, Business Administration, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, or any related major
  • Have basic understanding of grain markets and production agriculture will be an advantage
  • Have Strong analytical abilities & problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail, have a result orientation, and willing to be hands on
  • Commitment to think strategically and execute effectively, with the agility to adapt to fast changing market conditions
  • Ability to evaluate and manage risk
  • Able to build and maintain good relationship with multiple stakeholder
  • Excellent communication skill in English
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office program especially Microsoft Excel
