Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled LNG Engineering Manager with a minimum of 15 years of experience to lead the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) of onshore LNG terminal projects. This position is based in Thailand.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in the LNG and Oil & Gas (O&G) industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (MBA is a plus)
  • Proven experience as Engineering Manager for the FEED of at least two projects (not proposal-based)
  • Strong engineering management and team leadership skills
  • Prior experience in the energy industry, specifically in LNG, is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the FEED Phase: Oversee and guide the FEED phase for onshore LNG terminal projects, ensuring all technical, safety, and regulatory requirements are met.

  • Engineering Management: Provide engineering management leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, coordination, and execution. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project schedules, resource plans, and deliverable timelines. Ensure adherence to milestones, budgetary guidelines, and quality standards.

  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Manage, guide, and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative work environment and developing their technical capabilities. Ensure clarity in role expectations and provide direction to achieve project goals.

  • Technical Expertise and Quality Control: Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with LNG industry standards and regulations.

  • Risk Management: Identify project risks and mitigation strategies to address potential challenges. Take proactive measures to minimize delays and ensure project continuity.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate project status, key issues, and milestones effectively to clients and stakeholders. Facilitate discussions to align expectations and provide timely updates on progress.

  • Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Ensure the project’s compliance with all relevant HSE standards, driving a safety-first culture within the team and adhering to regulatory requirements.

  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project outcomes and lessons learned, driving improvements in engineering processes and standards for future projects.
