Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to develop accurate and effective demand forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
  • Support management with risk assessments and develop strategies for mitigating potential challenges.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve the accuracy of demand forecasts.
  • Clearly communicate key demand forecast elements (baseline, marketing pushes, seasonality, new area expansions, etc.) to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on key changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to develop monthly procurement plans and schedules, ensuring target inventory levels are aligned with demand forecasts.
  • Coordinate with the Fulfillment team to manage capacity and schedule inbound and outbound activities.
  • Collaborate with Finance to finalize monthly P&L and capital requirement plans.
  • Manage the monthly demand, supply, and financial planning process.
  • Lead daily cross-functional execution, ensuring monthly plans are executed smoothly.
Profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain roles.
  • Strong understanding of demand management practices and forecasting techniques.
  • Solid mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in agribusiness is a plus.

Core Skills:

  • Demand Modelling: Break down demand into external and internal factors, understanding how each factor influences purchases to accurately predict future demand.
  • Develop statistical forecasts based on historical sales data.
  • Adjust forecasts in collaboration with the Sales team.
  • Incorporate market trends and "push" or "pull" signals into the forecasting process.
  • Effectively communicate forecast insights to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Demand Shaping: Use pricing strategies, promotions, and incentives to influence customer demand and align it with supply plans.
  • Demand Sensing: Utilize real-time data to quickly identify what’s selling and adapt plans using advanced mathematical techniques.
