About the job

At Alba Renewables, we are committed to accelerating the clean energy transition while upholding the highest standards of environmental, social, governance (ESG), and HSSE performance. We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Sustainability Officer to support ESG and sustainability initiatives across our renewable energy projects in the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand.

About the Role

The Sustainability Officer will support the implementation, monitoring, coordination, and reporting of ESG and HSSE programs across Alba’s regional renewable energy portfolio. This role works closely with project teams, consultants, contractors, and operational stakeholders to ensure compliance with international standards, local regulations, and investor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

ESG & Sustainability Coordination

Support implementation of Alba’s ESG and HSSE management systems across regional projects
Coordinate ESG-related activities, monitoring programs, and reporting requirements
Assist in preparing ESG reports, dashboards, and sustainability updates
Support ESG due diligence activities and corrective action tracking
Coordinate stakeholder engagement and sustainability initiatives

GHG Reporting & Environmental Monitoring

Coordinate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data gathering and consolidation
Support Scope 1, Scope 2, and applicable Scope 3 reporting
Maintain environmental monitoring trackers and reporting schedules
Assist in monitoring environmental KPIs including emissions avoided, water, waste, and biodiversity metrics

Environmental & Social Compliance

Support environmental and social assessments for renewable energy projects
Assist with environmental permitting and ECC compliance monitoring
Track permit conditions, regulatory commitments, and action plans
Coordinate with project teams and community stakeholders on ESG requirements

HSSE & Regulatory Support

Support ESG/HSSE audits, inspections, and compliance assessments
Assist in tracking corrective actions and audit findings
Maintain ESG and HSSE records, trackers, and document control systems

Profile

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Forestry, Biology, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field
3–5 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, environmental compliance, HSSE, renewable energy, infrastructure, or related industries
Experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS, or similar) is highly preferred
Familiarity with ESG frameworks, IFC Performance Standards, and GHG reporting is an advantage
Knowledge of Philippine environmental and safety regulations (DENR, DOLE, ECC process, etc.)
Strong coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required
