Job description
Position Summary:
The Accounting Intern provides essential administrative and technical assistance in tax compliance, document management, and accounting operations. This role supports the finance team in ensuring accurate reporting, timely submissions, and organized recordkeeping.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tax Filing Support
Encode data for VAT Relief submissions.
Prepare and encode the Alphalist of Payees.
Encode the Summary Alphalist of Withholding Tax (SAWT).
Assist in the preparation and organization of Looseleaf Books of Accounts.
2. Document Management
Compile documentation for outstanding Letters of Authority (LOA).
Scan, label, and file accounting vouchers for audit and recordkeeping purposes.
3. Accounting Period and Address Updates
Assist in resolving open items related to changes in accounting periods or registered business addresses.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax compliance is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Willing to learn and able to work effectively in a team environment.
