This role requires strong environmental leadership, regulatory compliance expertise, and environmental risk management capability to ensure protection of natural resources, effective environmental planning, and proactive mitigation of environmental impacts across the full project lifecycle—from site development to operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Environmental Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and oversee environmental management systems for renewable energy projects.
  • Ensure integration of environmental safeguards across all project phases: site identification, permitting, construction, operations, and decommissioning.

  • Manage Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) applications and other environmental permits.
  • Coordinate with DENR and other regulatory agencies to ensure timely approvals and submissions.

3. Environmental Impact Assessment & Risk Management

  • Oversee Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and implementation of Environmental Management Plans (EMP).
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental risks across renewable energy project sites.
  • Ensure proactive environmental monitoring to prevent non-compliance and project delays.
  1. Biodiversity & Ecosystem Protection
  • Implement biodiversity conservation and habitat protection measures in project-affected areas.
  • Conduct ecological baseline studies and monitoring programs.
  • Ensure protection of sensitive ecosystems, watersheds, and protected areas where applicable.
  1. Climate Change & Carbon Management
  • Develop and implement climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.
  • Promote low-carbon and climate-resilient practices across operations.
  1. Pollution Prevention & Resource Efficiency
  • Develop programs for pollution control (air, water, soil, and noise).
  • Promote efficient use of natural resources, including water and land.
  • Oversee waste management and circular economy initiatives across project sites.
  1. ESG Reporting & Environmental Performance Monitoring
  • Develop KPIs and track environmental performance metrics, including compliance and environmental incidents.
  • Prepare reports aligned with ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SDGs, IFC Performance Standards).
  • Support sustainability disclosures, audits, and environmental reporting requirements for stakeholders and investors.
