Job Summary
The DGM – Sales is responsible for leading nationwide sales operations, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, managing distributor networks, and developing strategic sales plans for food products. The role oversees sales teams, key accounts, channel development, and trade marketing activities to achieve business targets and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and execute annual sales strategies and business plans.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets.
- Identify new market opportunities and expand distribution coverage.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Increase market share and product visibility across all channels.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, motivate, and monitor regional sales teams.
- Set KPIs and evaluate team performance regularly.
- Conduct coaching sessions and develop future sales leaders.
- Coordinate with Area Managers, Regional Managers, and distributors.
Distribution & Channel Management
- Manage distributors, wholesalers, modern trade, and retail channels.
- Develop strong relationships with key customers and business partners.
- Ensure product availability and smooth supply chain coordination.
- Expand dealer and distributor networks in new territories.
Trade Marketing & Promotions
- Plan promotional campaigns and sales activation programs.
- Coordinate with marketing teams for product launches and branding activities.
- Monitor ROI of trade promotions and sales campaigns.
Financial & Reporting
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Analyze sales data and recommend improvement strategies.
- Control sales expenses and maximize profitability.
- Present weekly/monthly sales reports to management.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and modern trade partners.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure high service standards.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and business agreements.
