Description of the mission

We’re currently looking to hire a researcher to write a 2,500-word chapter for the Global Compendium of Aquaculture Law & Policy—an open-access encyclopedia mapping aquaculture laws and regulations around the world.

Ideal candidates should have experience in research or policy analysis in fields such as:

  • Animal Science
  • Veterinary Medicine
  • Social Sciences, Law or other relevant disciplines

Setup: Fully remote

Duration: The consultancy is expected to last for two (2) months from the start date.

Rate: To be determined

Profile

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience in aquaculture, aquatic animal welfare, or farmed animal advocacy
  • At least one peer-reviewed publication or other credible research output (e.g., ResearchGate, Google Scholar, Academia)
  • Familiarity with stakeholder engagement, legal frameworks, or policy assessment is an advantage
