We are looking for a Junior Engineer or Engineer to join the GHG Services team. Your role will be to support the service line’s various services by analyzing sustainability data, quantifying GHG emissions inventories, developing data solutions and models, and working with team members in North America, Europe, and Australia to provide clients with actionable insights that inform their sustainability strategy.

Your projects and clients will span across a diverse set of industries, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to boutique brands, and require engagement with clients, and their suppliers, around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of inventories of GHG emissions, including operational scope 1+2 emissions and value chain (scope 3) emissions
  • Support the development of decarbonization action plans for clients, including science-based targets (SBT) and net zero targets.
  • Communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders
  • Participate in the development of the Anthesis’ innovative processes and tools to collect, analyze, and visualize sustainability metrics.
  • Support colleagues in all areas of the business and work with teammates across the globe.
Profile

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, mathematics, statistics, economics or related field or equivalent practical experience;
  • With 1-3 years’ relevant experience in corporate environmental sustainability, acquired either in-house or in a consultancy environment
  • Skilled in synthesizing and analyzing quantitative data
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Intermediate Excel knowledge required.

Desirable skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing GHG inventories with organizations across multiple sectors (retail, manufacturing, financial, energy, etc.)
  • Experience in the environmental sustainability sphere, covering topics such as life cycle assessments and sustainability reporting (e.g. GHG, CDP, DJSI, GRI, corporate sustainability reports)
  • Experience in Alteryx and PowerBI
  • Experience supporting supplier audits, environmental programs, and supplier capacity development
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Advanced skill level in MS Excel
