The key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Designing and writing creative, imaginative, and cost-effective marketing strategies for APCOM’s products, including events, trainings, consultancies, reports, and more
  • Ensuring that marketing strategies and plans are implemented on time and within budget
  • Managing and supervising APCOM’s Marketing and Communications Unit, including its staff
  • Securing sponsorships for APCOM’s flagship events, such as the HERO Awards Gala, LGBTQI Biz Forum, APCOM Community Summit, TestBKK, and Thailand Pride Festival
  • Developing additional income avenues for the organisation through resource mobilisation campaigns and merchandise
  • Creating compelling stories around APCOM’s brand, work, and impact to support marketing and fundraising efforts
  • Collaborating with programme staff to ensure timely and appropriate inputs for marketing and communications efforts
  • Using research and data analysis to inform strategies, set indicators for success, and guide decision-making
  • Evaluating marketing and communications strategies and activities, and submitting timely performance reports to the Executive Director and management team
  • Acting as a media and PR lead alongside the Executive Director, providing strategic direction and leadership on media relations and PR activities
  • Writing and proofreading content for various platforms, including online channels, press releases, magazines, brochures, and leaflets
  • Organising and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, and exhibitions, and representing the organisation when needed
  • Identifying opportunities to help the marketing and communications team learn and grow
  • Liaising and networking with a wide range of stakeholders, including community organisations, activists, donors, sponsors, and allies
  • Performing other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director or management
Profile

Required

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • Evidence of continued professional development in marketing or communications (trainings, courses etc.) for a minimum of 3–5 years
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in design and implementation of marketing and communications plans
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Thai and English
  • Proven record of securing funds from the private and/or public sector and/or HNIs and/or the general public

Desirable

  • Work experience in an NGO environment, preferably closely related to APCOM’s vision and mission
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in digital marketing
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in public relations and communications
  • An interest in social marketing and behaviour change
  • Line management experience is desirable
