🌱 Join ATOVA Citizen Service – Make an Impact in the Leuser Ecosystem! 🌏
ATOVA empowers youth to drive change through hands-on education, conservation, and health initiatives. As a Citizen Service Volunteer, you’ll spend 6+ weeks living and working in the breathtaking Karo Highlands, right on the edge of the world-renowned Leuser Ecosystem—one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth and home to critically endangered species.
You’ll be part of an international team delivering impactful programs in rural communities:
🧑🏫 Teach English in remote schools.
🌿 Support jungle ranger training and conservation education.
💪 Promote health and fitness in villages and schools.
Volunteers stay at our communal field base in Kabanjahe, North Sumatra, with dorm-style accommodation (gender-separated), basic facilities, and traditional Indonesian meals. You’ll receive a full induction week, training, and support throughout the placement. Your volunteer fee covers food, accommodation, transport, uniform, field gear, and 24/7 staff support. You’ll also join weekly fitness sessions, cultural exchange activities, and monthly personal growth days.
📩 After applying, we’ll invite you to a friendly e-meet to answer your questions and confirm your spot.
💡 Volunteer placements are available throughout the year. Limited spots per cycle.
