Under the Capital Mobilisation team, this role will support AVPN's efforts in mobilising capital towards impact by supporting research, measurement, and evaluation across different projects that we are delivering. This role will report to the Manager, Impact Measurement and Evaluation, and the Assistant Director, Capital Mobilisation.

  • Support with focus group sessions, key informant interviews, and other qualitative data collection
  • Conduct research and landscape analysis on different markets needs to support new initiative development and setting up of new philanthropic fund
  • Support quantitative data collection such as survey administration
  • Assist with grantee progress check-in and generating required reports
  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data, with an aim to triangulate findings for mixed-methods projects
  • Support the dissemination of evaluation findings and provide periodic progress reports
  • Support in crafting impact stories using data gathered from the progress reports and check-ins
  • Support in facilitating, organising and managing event/program (if needed)
Profile

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in impact measurement, social investment, and philanthropy.
  • Experience supporting monitoring and evaluation, and/or research projects, preferably mixed methods projects
  • Familiarity with qualitative data software (e.g., NVivo, ATLAS.ti, Dedoose, Otter.ai)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required, preferably to include advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative, proactive, and have good project management skills
  • Willing to learn new things, organised and with strong attention to detail (e.g., data cleaning)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Preferably available for a six-month internship
