The Marketing and Donor Relations Manager is an individual contributor role responsible for crafting compelling marketing content, executing fundraising initiatives, and managing communications that highlight partnership efforts, donor initiatives, and fundraising platforms. The role also involves close collaboration with Corporate Communications for social media and website releases.
Fundraising and Donor Relations
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to achieve annual fundraising targets
- Research on prospective donors and clients for the assigned pillar projects
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, including but not limited to corporate partners, institutional donors, high-net-worth individuals, foundations and trusts
- Manage the full donor lifecycle: prospecting, engagement, solicitation, acknowledgement, and retention.
- Prepare and execute donor proposals, pitch decks, concept notes, and fundraising presentations.
- Maintain strong donor relationships through regular updates, impact reports, and meetings.
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns, events, and partnership initiatives as needed.
- Track fundraising performance, donor pipelines, and revenue projections.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of donor commitments and contributions.
- Manage the company's digital donation platforms and vouchers, including but not limited to Grab, Lazada, Beep, and the Donation Portal within the company website.
Partnerships and Grant Writing
- Act as bridge between Marketing and External Relations (MER) and Corporate Communications (CorpComms) in producing fundraising and marketing promotional materials, including materials used for donors’ MOA signings and special events
- Work with MER clusters to gather impact data, stories, and partner feedback for inclusion in donor and partner communications
- Participate the Grants Team as a content writer, assisting in the preparation of concept notes, proposals, and reports while ensuring consistent tone, structure, and formatting across grant submissions
- Maintain a library of updated marketing and communication assets for use across departments and with stakeholders
Marketing Content and Communications
- In collaboration with Corporate Communications, develop and maintain marketing materials such as the Pitchbook, donor decks, and other collaterals aligned with the organization’s brand and messaging
- Draft and manage client communications, including updates, thank-you letters, newsletters, announcements, etc.
- Work closely with Corporate Communications to plan and publish content on social media channels and the company website, particularly around partnership updates, milestones, and marketing campaigns
- Ensure consistent messaging across platforms, reflecting the organization's mission and values
- Provide CorpComm with the necessary information for the promotion of events through social media and other communication platforms.
Administration and Reporting
- Manage the end-to-end proposal process from submission to approval and contract execution.
- Coordinate preparation, review, signing, and fulfilment of contracts, MOAs, and DODs, including renewals.
- Monitor contract status, compliance requirements, deliverables, and renewal timelines.
- Ensure accurate, updated, and accessible donation records and donor information.
- Manage and monitor budget in coordination with the Finance team.
- Prepare and submit a summary of donor contributions to Finance-Treasury for appropriate action (e.g., issuance of official receipts and a certificate of donation).
