SCOPE OF WORK:

The main role of the Program Officer is to proactively support the Bayan Knowledge Institute (BKI) in implementing its knowledge functions and education innovation programs.

At the pre-project implementation stage:

● Assist the Director in marketing activities such as providing leads, creating pitch decks, and preparing pre-project documents

● Prepare administrative and logistical support such as preparation of project contracts, setting up project teams and tools, and collection of pertinent requirements needed for the project implementation

During the actual implementation of the projects:

● Provide administrative and logistical support in the facilitation of activities relative to the assigned projects, including meeting documentation, scheduling activities with the project teams, coordination with stakeholders, requesting payments, and the like

● Provide support to the Director in monitoring the project timeline and updating the project’s stakeholders

● Assist in the delivery of project activities such as facilitation and documentation of education programs, mentoring sessions, and coaching sessions, among others

● Ensure that all outputs are compliant with the organization’s branding guidelines and/or the client’s specifications

Post-project implementation:

● Conduct post-project activities including, but not limited to, submission of budget and liquidation reports, post-activity reports, documentation reports, and other outputs necessary for project completion

REQUIRED SKILLS AND TRAITS

  • Familiarity in the curation of knowledge assets - The Officer should be familiar with the creation of knowledge assets that are concise, accurate, and engaging. This includes being able to choose the right visual elements, and to arrange them in a way that is visually appealing and easy to understand.
  • Detail-oriented - The Officer should be thorough and able to pay close attentioN to detail and accuracy. This means noticing the smallest errors or inconsistencieS in all documents and knowledge assets.
  • Stakeholder management - The Officer will be communicating with internal and external stakeholders. These include the project team, consultants, clients, and project beneficiaries. It is important that the Officer is able to represent the organization well.
  • Oral and written communication skills - The Officer will be assisting in the delivery of BKI’s education innovation programs. He or she must be comfortable with public speaking and audience engagement, as well as reading, writing, and strengthening written documents in English. Summarizing complex ideas is important in this position.
  • Strong sense of initiative and high independence - The Officer should have the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Passion and understanding for development - We need a like-minded individual with a deep sense of personal purpose and motivation to contribute to change and nation-building.
