Your Task And Responsibilities

  • Building, executing, and leading new businesses from zero to one in the digital routes to market and ecosystem space in Indonesia. This role is the first hire and this candidate would need to build the team and business.
  • Define the vision and roadmap for innovative digital products, solution, and services and identify appropriate leading metrics to be tracked during execution.
  • Understand customer needs through direct interactions with farmers and with the support of Business Design and Commercial colleagues.
  • Lead test of Proof-of-concept together with ecosystem partners, build-up of minimum viable business, and design business models in a lean and agile start-up setup. Create a structured product backlog and steer implementation of supporting digital capabilities.
  • Define business and financial case quarterly and annually to outline investment requirement, team set-up and roles, and short/long-term outcome.
  • Articulate how the products/capabilities/solutions developed fit into the country strategy, and how the products/capabilities/solutions delivered provide direct and indirect value for Crop Science
  • Be accountable for early market success and all aspects of execution around the product, solution, and digital capabilities and ensure customer adoption, satisfaction, and sustainable customer lifetime value
  • Ensure sustainability of the established business by collaborating with the customer facing teams to take the business to commercial / scale stage.
  • Act as role model and evangelist to shape a culture of business model iterative innovation in Crop Science Indonesia and beyond

Profile

Who You Are

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (business, computer science, engineering, agriculture or equivalent) from top institutions; advanced degrees such as M.B.A. is a plus
  • Working Experience:
  • 8+ years in Venture Building / Entrepreneurship or Digital Product Building
  • 3+ years experience in Growth, Key Account Management or Executing Commercial policies in the Indonesia market
  • Excellent writing and speaking in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Experience in agriculture a plus
  • Experience in markets outside of Indonesia a plus
