Primary Purpose

Functions as a technical specialist in municipal and industrial wastewater and sludge treatment process. Performs all aspects of process design and analysis independently. Broad knowledge and skill set in area of discipline. Knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas, including advanced process control using AI technology will be added advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Detailed design of process systems for wastewater treatment plants, including screening equipment, physical-chemical treatment plants, biological treatment plants, blower equipment, odour control plants, disinfection plants, sludge treatment plants, etc.
  • Detailed design of ancillary systems including chemical feed systems, mechanical ventilation systems, and drainage systems.
  • Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams, mass balance and P&IDs.
  • General Arrangement and equipment layout drawings.
  • Preparation of process equipment specifications and their expected performances.
  • Review and evaluation of vendor submissions.
  • Coordination with other disciplines e.g. civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, building services, instrumentation & control designers and digital water specialists.
  • Able to lead meetings, HAZOP, discussions with clients, contractors and vendors.
  • Provide engineering support for bids & proposals.
  • Prepare testing and commissioning plans
  • Leading Process Testing & Commissioning
  • Lead and guide a team of process Engineers and carry out QA/QC of their designs.
  • Keeping abreast with latest development in wastewater treatment technology and sludge management technologies and suitably applies in the design
