Blue Dragon is on a mission to end human trafficking. We believe that every child deserves exceptional care and a chance to thrive. We rescue people from homelessness and slavery, reunite them with their families, and provide them with all the services needed for recovery and growth. Blue Dragon uses all the lessons learnt through our extensive front-line work to implement widespread prevention initiatives and advocate for improvements to policy and law.

The selected candidate will lead a team of motivated HR professionals tasked with supporting, developing and sustaining the people and culture at Blue Dragon.

The department finds and recruits the best talents, cares for them, develops them and supports them to achieve Blue Dragon’s mission. The People and Culture team is responsible for human resource functions, learning and development, and for nurturing and developing Blue Dragon’s culture and leadership throughout the organisation.

The responsibilities of the People and Culture manager span across acquisition and staffing, development and retention, leadership and culture, and practices and systems.

Profile

Essential requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years as a HR business partner in Vietnam with exposure across every stage of the HR lifecycle, from hire to retire.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human resources, business administration, public or nonprofit administration or a related field.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese and English.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels through trust, influence and delivery, from front line through the management team.
  • A strong executor, is able to take a long-term view but more importantly, is hands-on, action, results oriented and able to take a short- term view.
  • Able to challenge the status quo and bring innovation and creativity.
  • Strong at navigating complexity and ambiguity.
  • Shows sound judgement with a good balance of EQ and IQ.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with conflict effectively, and to manage difficult situations confidently and calmly; demonstrated ability to coach and counsel at all levels.
  • Well versed in driving a rigorous approach to HR and holding others to account in the same.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to effectively plan, implement and manage HR programs and functions; ability to implement, explain, and apply relevant policies, procedure and regulations.
  • Good understanding of compensation and benefits.
  • Working knowledge of Vietnam laws and regulations affecting employer practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in revising or developing new HR policies and procedures to meet changing organisational needs. Eg.: Employee Assistance Programs, Benefits Programs.
