Our Mission

Our mission is to bridge the sustainability gap, leveraging technology to replace complexity with clarity and give entrepreneurs a trustworthy path forward. We are seeking an analytical and driven R&D Researcher to join our team for a 12–18 months research initiative. Based entirely in Hong Kong, this role will focus on conducting primary Research & Development (R&D) activities to help SMEs in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) navigate their ESG journeys by building automated technical solutions.

Your Target

As an ESG R&D Researcher, your primary objective will be to conduct core R&D activities within Hong Kong, focusing on identifying critical ESG data gaps and driving the algorithmic development of automated ESG reporting software solutions. Operating from our Hong Kong base, you will translate complex regional compliance data into functional software logic, transforming dense requirements into automated, accessible tools for GBA entrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities (Primary R&D Duties Based In Hong Kong)

Conduct Core ESG R&D: Perform primary research and data analysis within Hong Kong to identify technical sustainability challenges, data gaps, and operational pain points faced by SMEs.
Automated Software R&D Collaboration: Actively collaborate with the Hong Kong-based technical team to design, prototype, test, and refine proprietary software features that automate the ESG reporting process.
R&D Hub Framework Design: Lead the conceptual research and architectural curation required to build a trustworthy repository framework of verified, automated ESG solutions.
Regulatory Logic Translation: Conduct technical translation of dense regulatory frameworks (HKEX, GBA regional guidelines) into clear, algorithmic workflows to be coded directly into our software platforms.
Applied Research & Trend Analysis: Conduct ongoing methodology research regarding green finance, climate risk modelling, and evolving ESG tech trends to ensure our automated R&D outputs remain compliant and mathematically sound.

Profile

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (Master’s / Ph.D.) in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Proven experience in conducting applied research, handling ESG data analytics, designing automated reporting tools, or technical business consulting is a strong advantage.
Specialized Focus: Prior research experience or academic duties involving Climate Risk analytics and modelling is highly preferred.

Skills & Attributes

Technical & R&D Skills:
Familiarity with major ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, ISSB) and the regulatory landscape impacting the region.
Strong capability in navigating, testing, and evaluating technical software platforms during the R&D lifecycle.
Core Competencies: A structured, problem-solving mindset with the ability to diagnose data compliance gaps and design automated, system-based solutions.
Languages: Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) to analyze regional data sources and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Attributes: Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and driven to advance the fields of green technology and automated sustainability reporting.
