Start Network is implementing Start Ready in the Philippines—a Disaster Risk Financing (DRF) system designed to enable local NGOs and civil society organizations to proactively manage disaster risks. This system involves scientific modeling of hazards, developing contingency plans, and establishing pre-positioned financing. The implementation is based on locally-led initiatives, data-driven actions, and scalable systems. Following a series of contingency plans and activities, the Start Network, alongside its partners, has conducted a comprehensive review of its strategies. The goal is to produce a publishable version of these documents for stakeholders.
