JOB SUMMARY:
As the Digital Marketing and Communication Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to support our fundraising initiatives. Your primary goal will be to leverage digital channels and technologies to maximize donor engagement, drive donations, and increase brand awareness. This is a dynamic role that requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and a passion for leveraging digital platforms to achieve fundraising goals.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital Marketing and Communications
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing campaigns to support fundraising efforts, including but not limited to email marketing, social media marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), content marketing, and online advertising.
- Perform customer sensing, develop long view of opportunities and threats, participates in product development.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to understand campaign objectives and develop targeted messaging and content that resonates with target audience and donors for both individual and corporate fundraising.
- Utilize social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and other digital platforms to create engaging content and grow our online presence.
- Create and manage email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, copywriting, design, and performance tracking.
- Optimize website content and user experience to drive conversions and donations, ensuring a seamless online journey for potential donors.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as website traffic, email open rates, click-through rates, marketing conversion rates, and campaign ROI, among others and provide regular reports to the fundraising team.
- Conduct market research, gather audience feedback and stay up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and best practices, recommending innovative strategies to improve fundraising outcomes.
- Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and freelancers to support digital marketing initiatives as needed.
- Implement and manage digital advertising campaigns across various platforms, such as Google AdWords, Facebook Ads and display networks, among others to reach and engage target audiences effectively.
- Monitor online reputation and respond to donor inquiries, comments, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the consultants or design team when needed to create visually appealing and impactful digital assets, including graphics, videos, infographics, and landing pages.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and ethical guidelines related to digital marketing and fundraising, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and best practices.
Child Safeguarding
- Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable her/him to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct himself/herself in a manner consistent with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
- Ensure that all information and visual images, both photograph and moving images, of children, families and communities respect the dignity of the people depicted. Content (photo or video and text) that potentially stereotypes, sensationalizes, or discriminates against children, situations or places should not be used.
- Provide policy orientation to journalists and media stakeholders who will have direct contact with children on the limits of their interaction and how to report concerns if they become aware of a child who is at risk or experiencing harm. Secure their written commitment to abide by the Child Safeguarding Policy and Procedure.
- Conduct risk assessment for publicity, media and communications activities and put in place measures to reduce the risk of harm to and protect the identity of children, parents and caregivers.
