About the role

City Energy is seeking a commercially driven and analytical professional to support the Company's corporate strategy, growth and transformation agenda. Working closely with senior management and business units, the role provides exposure to strategic planning, business development, investment evaluation, energy transition initiatives and cross-functional projects that support the Company's long-term growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

Support the development and execution of corporate strategies, business plans and growth initiatives.
Coordinate Corporate Planning Sessions (CPS), Board Strategy Workshops and strategic planning activities.
Evaluate strategic projects, investments and business opportunities, including commercial assessments, business cases and financial modelling.
Support M&A, strategic partnerships, investment opportunities and business development initiatives.
Support hydrogen, decarbonisation, sustainability and energy transition projects, including market analysis, feasibility studies and stakeholder engagement.
Monitor industry developments, emerging technologies and regulatory trends across the energy, gas and utilities sectors.
Track strategic initiatives, prepare management and Board papers, and support performance monitoring and strategic reviews.
Coordinate cross-functional projects and engage stakeholders across the organisation.

Profile

About you

Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy Management or a related discipline.
5–8 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, business development, commercial, project development or related functions.
Experience in the energy, gas, LNG, utilities, infrastructure or oil & gas sectors preferred.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in financial modelling, business case development and investment evaluation.
Exposure to hydrogen, energy transition, sustainability, M&A or strategic partnerships would be advantageous.
Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
