
To strengthen the project’s fundraising pipeline and partner capacity, T4EMW seeks a Fundraising Consultant to support proposal development, coordinate co-design sessions, and support donor compliance.
Objectives of Assignment
The objective of this assignment is to support fundraising implementation and provide technical mentoring during grant application development for the T4EMW partner, based on Clickable Impact’s pre-defined fundraising strategy, Theory of Change, and pre-identified donor.
Specifically, the consultant will:
- Support the development and submission of one (01) high-quality grant proposal based on Theory of Change provided by Clickable
- Design simplified templates with guiding questions for the targeted partner to complete as inputs to the final grant proposals.
- Facilitate participatory co-design sessions to ensure proposals are inclusive, community-driven, and aligned with local context, as well as T4EMW’s priorities and sustainability standards and donor objectives.
- Deliver practical advisory and mentoring to strengthen partners’ capacity in donor scoping, proposal writing, budgeting, donor compliance, and safeguarding principles.
- Document results, lessons learned, and good practices from the grant development process for internal learning and external communication.
- Ensure all grant proposals, mentoring materials, and documentation integrate GEDSI and safeguarding considerations.
Scope of Works
Under the supervision of the Strategic Partnerships and Investment Specialist, the consultant will undertake the following tasks:
1. Support the development and finalization of grant proposal (01 grant proposal, targeting funding in the range of approximately USD 100,000–150,000) for a grant opportunity identified by Clickable
- Review funding call priority aligned with T4EMW objectives local context
- Coordinate with the project team and partners to collect inputs.
- Draft and finalize proposal narratives, budgets, and related documentation for submission to targeted donors.
2. Facilitate co-design and partnership workshops
- Conduct participatory co-design sessions with selected partner
- Ensure integration of gender, inclusion, and sustainability priorities in all proposals
3. Provide mentoring support during grant application development
- Deliver three (03) mentoring sessions on basic call fit assessment, funding requirements and grant application and budgeting
- Provide ongoing advisory support throughout the proposal development process under this assignment to strengthen partner ownership and improve proposal quality.
4. Provide coordination and compliance support
- Ensure donor formatting, submission compliance, and alignment with project reporting standards
- Coordinate with partners to respond to donor enquiries and requests.
5. Post-award support (initial phase)
- Support the review and finalization of partnership Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) to ensure alignment with the approved proposal, partner roles, and donor compliance requirements.
- Provide initial orientation to partners on key donor compliance requirements, including safeguarding, GEDSI, and reporting expectations following grant approval.
6. The consultant will work closely with the Clickable Team and local partners. All deliverables will be submitted to the Project Manager for review and approval.
