Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an energetic, independent and resourceful individual in providing excellent philanthropy advisory service to donors and prospects.

  • Manage a portfolio of donors, cultivating and sustaining active relationships that encourage and inform their charitable giving, including encouraging strategic large gifts.

  • Engage and guide a broad range of donor types from self-directed, to donors who have yet to take advantage of CFS’s advisory services, as well as those open to exploring complex charitable programmes.

  • Work closely with corporate and individual donors to develop strategic philanthropic strategies.

  • Provide excellent service; advise donors in articulating, planning and achieving their giving goals.

  • Provide strategic philanthropy advisory to donors by recommending impactful programme solutions to guide their giving to be more deliberate and informed.

  • Proactively provide information and respond to donors’ philanthropy priorities. Collaborate across teams to facilitate fund administration and donations.

  • Connect donors to meaningful funding opportunities by collaborating with internal stakeholders on philanthropy recommendations and grantmaking.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Grants teams to showcase donors and their giving.

  • Engage donors through donor learning trips, donor luncheons, charity visits and other opportunities.

  • Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Profile

Qualifications / Competencies:

  • A Diploma or Degree from an accredited tertiary institution, or comparable qualifications.

  • Relevant experience of at least 3 years in finance, administrative and other client support roles will be a plus.

  • Meticulous with an eye for detail.

  • Comfortable working with digital platforms and databases, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills including the ability to manage varied and conflicting demands to meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to show initiative, work independently and work collaboratively across teams to accomplish joint tasks and common objectives.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to adapt.

  • Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is preferred.
