Description of the mission

CPI is seeking a Senior Finance Director to play a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s financial governance and strategic decision-making. In this position, you will lead finance, accounting, treasury, and grants management functions, ensure strong internal controls and compliance with international standards, and oversee consolidated financial reporting across Country Offices. You will also serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, donors, and the Board, supporting sustainable partnerships and informed financial decisions.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and oversight, aligning financial strategy with CPI’s organizational goals and operational needs,
  • Lead financial policies, systems, and internal controls to ensure consistency, compliance, and effective implementation across Country Offices,
  • Oversee risk management, audits, donor compliance, and regulatory requirements, providing technical guidance on donor budgeting and reporting,
  • Manage treasury, cash flow, banking, and investment policies to ensure liquidity and long-term financial sustainability,
  • Drive systems improvement and digital transformation for finance and grants management in collaboration with ICT,
  • Lead and develop finance teams, strengthen capacity across HQ and Country Offices, and represent CPI in donor engagement and high-level negotiations.

Profile

What We’re Looking For:

  • Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent qualification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in (thai) nonprofit, multi-country operation, and international organization required
  • Experience with donor compliance and risk management required
  • Knowledge of both U.S. GAAP and Thai accounting standards
  • Strong command in English
  • Strong technical accounting and data validation skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team/people management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Sun or similar accounting/ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Demonstrated commitment to organizational transparency and accountability.
