Job Purpose:
We are looking for a Marine Research Officer (MRO) to join our team and support our marine conservation efforts. The MRO will be fully integrated in the scientific department of CRCP and report to the conservation manager. As such, the most important portion of its time and mission will be focused on research field work (such as coral reef biophysical monitoring, Marine Protected Areas’s effectiveness assessment, Seagrass and Mangroves mapping, etc) followed by periods of data analysis, report writing and scientific communications.
The position is ideal for marine biology graduate looking to apply its skills and work for the conservation of coastal resources. CRCP is looking for a positive, dynamic and meticulous individual who loves research and field work. It requires physical fitness, endurance, able to work actively and undertake physical labour in outdoor marine conditions. The MRO will be joining a small team of enthusiastic and driven individuals working towards the protection of some of the most threatened places in the world. You will be applying your skills to support marine conservation efforts in the Philippines.
