Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ecosystem Restoration Expert to support the development and implementation of ecosystem restoration, forestry, and nature-based carbon projects across Indonesia. This role will contribute to restoration planning, ecological assessments, biodiversity considerations, and long-term sustainability strategies for landscape and carbon initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in ecosystem restoration and practical experience working on forestry, conservation, rehabilitation, or land restoration projects.

Responsibilities

Lead and support ecosystem restoration planning and implementation activities. Conduct ecological and landscape assessments for restoration and carbon projects.
Develop restoration strategies, rehabilitation plans, and biodiversity enhancement approaches. Support feasibility assessments and technical studies related to forestry and land-use projects. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on carbon, biodiversity, and sustainability initiatives. Provide technical input for project design, monitoring, and reporting.
Coordinate with local stakeholders, partners, and field teams during project implementation. Support preparation of technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.

Profile

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Forestry, Ecology, Environmental Science, Conservation, Biology, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in ecosystem restoration, forestry, conservation, or land rehabilitation projects. Strong understanding of tropical ecosystems, biodiversity, and restoration methodologies.
Experience working on forestry, conservation, or nature-based solutions projects in Indonesia.
Familiarity with carbon projects, reforestation, or landscape restoration is an advantage.
Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
Willingness to conduct fieldwork and travel when required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ecosystem restoration concession areas or conservation landscapes.
Familiarity with biodiversity monitoring and ecological indicators.
Understanding of sustainability frameworks and environmental regulations in Indonesia.
