Description of the mission

Program Design Manager (Design Thinking in Education)

This role is best suited for professionals with experience in Instructional Design and Design Thinking/ Human-centric design / User Experience (or closely related experience).

We are seeking a Program Design Manager with strong experience applying design thinking in learning environments to lead the full lifecycle of our school programs — from proposal to classroom delivery.

About the Role

This is a middle management role combining:

· Program design and proposal writing

· School partnership development

· Trainer enablement and quality assurance

You will engage school leaders to understand their needs, shape and secure proposals, design structured design thinking–based learning journeys, and equip trainers to deliver them effectively in schools.

Key Responsibilities

Program Strategy & School Partnerships

· Respond to queries from schools with proposed programs.

· Develop tailored program proposals with applied design thinking in variety of programs (Service Learning, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Motivation, and other related experiential programs)

· Translate school needs into clear learning outcomes, structured learning experiences, and deliverables; to drive adoption, renewal, and long-term partnerships.

· Build and nurture partnerships that lead to program adoption and renewal.

Curriculum & Experience Design

· Design experiential programs using design thinking as the core methodology.

· Develop facilitator guides, student materials, and implementation toolkits.

Trainer Enablement & Quality

· Train and equip facilitators in both the mindset and structured application of design thinking.

· Maintain program quality and refine through feedback and evaluation.

Facilitation & Oversight

· Facilitate selected workshops and flagship engagements.

· Contribute to planning and impact tracking.

Profile

Requirements (Essential)

  • Proposal writing skills with design thinking application for schools.
  • Proven experience applying design thinking in educational settings (student or adult learning).
  • Experience designing structured learning programs grounded in diverse pedagogical approaches (e.g. design thinking, experiential learning, project-based learning
  • 4–6 years’ experience in education, curriculum design, training, or program management.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills (experience with Singapore schools preferred).
