CONTEXT:
Water & Life Philippines, (W&L Philippines) Filipino non-profit organization, created by the French NGO Eau & Vieis active in the Philippines in the livelihood development of Urban Slum dwellers implementing Water Network, Firefighting, Hygiene promotion, sanitation and solid waste management activities.
W&L Philippines works in close association with the social business company Tubig Pag Asa (TPA), created by Eau & Vie, specialized in water supply in urban slums of the Philippines, aiming at creating quality-controlled, piped and metered water supply networks which are financially viable, socially responsible and adapted to the needs of urban poor.
Both W&L Philippines and TPA engaged in partnerships with the local communities, authorities, water operator and other development stakeholders through three branches in Cebu, Cavite and Leyte.

LOCATION: based in Head Office with travels around the country if needed, mainly Mandaue , Cebu, Cavite and Leyte where projects are ongoing.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Project Officer and Technical Advisor, he/she will coordinate the logistics arrangements for all sanitation pilot project activities. Facilitate regular flow of information with the Project Officer and Country Director; conduct research and information gathering as required. Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders (LGUs, NGOs, Community Associations…)
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Under the supervision of the Project Officer and Technical Advisor, coordinate logistics arrangements for all sanitation pilot project activities.
● In coordination with the Branch Manager, participate in the planning and facilitation of sanitation pilot project related activities.
● Participate in securing the necessary authorizations and permits from relevant institutions/LGUs, ensuring smooth implementation of the sanitation service.
● Participate in the supervision and monitoring of project related construction work and field studies/surveys.
● Participate in the design of the sanitation service model, process, and tools.
● Participate in the design and implementation of the sanitation service promotion strategy.
● Serves as contact person, ensuring smooth coordination and working relationship with stakeholders, such as the LGU, community members, other NGOs and other institutions and leaders in the pilot areas.
● Ensure timeliness and quality of project activities and results as well as timely preparation of reports on project achievements.
● Establish project activities budget, ensure efficient use of resources, and prepare periodic project liquidation reports.
● Facilitate regular flow of information with the Project Officer and Country Director; conduct research and information gathering as required.
● Continuously monitor the changes/events/issues in the community and provide regular field situation updates to the Project Officer.
● Participate in the development of the sanitation service monitoring plan.
● Prepare meeting minutes and communication materials as needed by the project.
● Support the development and implementation of workshops, seminars, and sanitation pilot project related activities.
● Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders (LGUs, NGOs, Community Associations…)
● Perform other duties related to the sanitation pilot project as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
● Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or any related field.
Experience:
● Minimum 3 Years Experience in Project Management,
● Experience in working with LGUs, Government Officials and Community Leaders.
● Experience in report writing and budget management.
● In depth knowledge of Philippines’ Urban Poor context and political landscape.
● Knowledge and experience in human-centered design process and community participatory process.
● Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting.
● Demonstrated ability to communicate with others and build strong working relationships with project stakeholders.
● Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks.
● Fluent in written and spoken English.
● Strong commitment to environmental issues and sustainable development.
Skills:
• Proven computer skills (MS Word, Excel,Powerpoint)
• Proficient in both spoken and written English (French is an asset)
