We are currently looking for Branding and Marketing Manager that will drive Edufarmers’ marketing efforts to elevate the organization's brand, broaden its outreach, and achieve its mission objectives. This senior role requires strategic oversight of both Above The Line (ATL) and Below The Line (BTL) marketing initiatives, with a strong emphasis on ATL expertise to expand brand visibility and engagement. As the team lead, you will mentor and guide a team of junior associates skilled in BTL marketing, fostering professional growth and operational effectiveness. This role demands creativity, adaptability, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Brand Development

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with Edufarmers’ mission and goals in agriculture and stunting reduction. This includes market research, analysis, and setting specific marketing goals.
  • Lead brand management efforts, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all channels.
  • Drive ATL campaigns to increase brand awareness and reach a broad audience, utilizing channels such as digital ads and influencer partnerships.
  • Integrate BTL marketing strategies, focusing on direct engagement, event marketing, and personalized outreach to deepen community impact.

Campaign Planning and Execution

  • Oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and optimization of ATL marketing campaigns, working with external agencies and media partners as needed.
  • Design and implement digital marketing strategy and campaigns across social media, search engines, email marketing, and other platforms, leveraging data-driven insights for maximum engagement.
  • Supervise the production of creative content, including video, print, and digital media, to support both ATL and BTL efforts.

Event Planning and Management

  • Lead the planning, organization, and execution of major foundation events, including the Agrinnovation Conference, an annual conference on agriculture technology and other public-facing initiatives.
  • Work closely with event organizers (EOs), vendors, and venue partners to ensure successful logistics, programming, and execution.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, allocating resources effectively and ensuring financial oversight.
  • Establish and track KPIs for events, analyzing performance to drive future improvements and meet attendance and engagement goals.

Team Development and Collaboration

  • Mentor and develop a junior marketing team, providing training and guidance to enhance their BTL marketing capabilities. Set objectives, review performance, and foster a productive and positive work environment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with program managers, communications, and fundraising teams to ensure cohesive and strategic marketing efforts.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with external partners, including media agencies, creative vendors, and influencers.

Budget Management and Performance Analysis

  • Manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize return on investment for both ATL and BTL campaigns.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize results.
  • Prepare regular reports on marketing performance, providing insights to the leadership team on brand growth, engagement, and impact.
Profile

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years in marketing or brand management, with at least 3 years of experience in a senior marketing role. Strong background in ATL marketing is required, with demonstrable success in running large-scale campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Previous experience in the non-profit sector is a plus, particularly with health or agriculture-related causes.

Skills

  • Deep understanding of ATL channels, including OOH, digital ads, and media planning.
  • Familiarity with BTL strategies, including direct marketing, event creation and promotion, social media, SEO, and community engagement.
  • Proven experience in leading large events, managing vendors, developing budgets, and achieving attendance and engagement goals.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to track and optimize campaign performance.
  • Strong creative skills to oversee content production and storytelling that aligns with Edufarmers' mission and leads to effective brand building.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop junior team members we well as collaborate with other teams withing and outside of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing a marketing budget and making data-informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including creating engaging presentation on strategy and reporting, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to pivot strategies based on changing circumstances.
