Edufarmers is seeking an Impact Officer to support its mission of promoting evidence-based policy in the agriculture and nutrition sectors.

Mission

To contribute to the organization’s policy outreach, project development, and partnership by synthesizing research findings, project’s impact, engaging with stakeholders, and supporting the development of evidence-informed policy in the agriculture and nutrition sectors.

Responsibilities

Program Learning & Development:

  • Conduct research on current needs and gaps in the areas of agriculture, nutrition, and stunting reduction.
  • Create and/or improve existing theory of change to ensure all of Edufarmers programs are designed to track impact
  • Analyze existing programs, identify risks, learnings, and best practices.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments for potential new programs, considering factors such as resource availability, community needs, Edufarmer’s mission, and potential impact.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Assist in monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure they are of high quality, including coordinating the process of data collection.
  • Create survey designs to capture important program outcomes
  • Analyse survey data
  • Write, edit, and proofread short, powerful stories about the organization ‘ work for non-technical policy audience

Profile

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Master's degree with a strong academic record in agriculture, nutrition, public policy, international development, or a related field, with a strong understanding of quantitative research. Bachelor's degree holders with significant experience will also be considered.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience for Master's degree holders, 3-4 years for Bachelor's degree holders.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Deep respect for Indonesian culture and a commitment to community-driven solutions.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities: proven ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making. Skills in utilizing statistical software’s (R, Stata) is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in presentation design and data visualization (e.g., Google Slides, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex research findings into accessible language.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the region to meet with policymakers and partners.
  • High-level proficiency in both Indonesian and English.
