Job Summary:
The Decarbonization Specialist will review and consolidate decarbonization opportunities across the value chain of EDC. He/she will develop plans, road maps, and business cases on technology and process changes that lead to a reduction of carbon footprint. He/she will also work closely with our Sustainability Adviser to ensure alignment with the goals, targets, and directions of First Philippine Holdings (FPH) and First Gen on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).
To propose a business case on reducing the carbon footprint from the energy consumption of
site city offices and head office, through energy conservation methods and
solutions, including renewable energy applications;
To conduct ideation sessions with various EDC groups to identify other decarbonization
opportunities;
To propose a road map for the transition from fossil-fuel based vehicles to potentially hybrid
and eventually to electric vehicles;
To conduct ideation sessions with various groups to identify other decarbonization
opportunities.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Bachelor’s Degree in any Environmental Courses such as Environmental
Science, Environmental Engineering and Environmental Planning, Chemical Engineering,
Chemistry, or related fields
With at least 3 years of experience in environmental management such as Pollution Control
Officer (PCO) role, environmental consultancy, environmental management audit (ex. ISO
audits) and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting
Experience in sustainability reporting using any of these standards is an advantage: IR, IFRS,
TCFD, SASB, GRI and CDP
