Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Business Development by producing technical proposal, estimated project Photovoltaic (PV) capacity and costing through technical assessment of site and drawings
  • Calculate and optimise Project Cost, Energy yield and Internal Rate of Return (IRR)/Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) to secure projects
  • Develop design specifications and functional requirements for projects
  • Produce engineering drawings, e.g., Single line diagram and PV module layout, using computer aided drawing software
  • Run simulation software to analyse the performance and estimated energy yield of Solar PV System
  • Work with external contractors and consultants to optimise PV system cost and PV system design
  • Perform technical review of designs, specifications and operational matters on projects and related activities, through engineering and calculations
  • Conduct site surveys for feasibility studies of Solar PV system installation or on-site technical support
  • Understands local regulations, standards and permitting for PV projects
Profile

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering/Renewable energy related fields
  • At least 2 years experience in Solar PV system design/engineering
  • Has understanding and knowledge of electrical designs and specifications at 415/400/230V levels
  • Having experience and knowledge of designing MV and HV electrical systems is a strong plus
  • Competent in AutoCAD and PV software working knowledge eg: PVsyst, Skelion Pro, SolarGIS, HelioScope
