You will be based in Bangkok and will be responsible for the timely deliverable of Fairagora Asia (FAA) projects. He will mostly work on HRDD-specific projects in the agriculture sector. The work can be related to sustainable standards and certification advisory services (BONSUCRO, GAP, SRP, Organic regulation, etc.) or to FAA’s own set of social and environmental metrics. www.fairagora.com
Key Responsibilities
Supervise up to two of FAA’s ongoing projects: take over existing projects or initiate new projects;
Manage the operational activities related to the projects such as farmers’ training and support, workshops organization, survey design, etc.
Contribute to the recruitment and supervision of new employees when needed;
Support Fairagora team members in their work organization, push for continuous improvement, maintain a happy and motivating workplace, and ensure strong unity in the team;
On top of the planning and coordination, work on all the tasks together with the team. Participate in the field trips and the farmers’ training;
Deliver English reports to the client and when required to other stakeholders;
Conduct regular meetings and workshops to keep stakeholders informed and engaged;
Be in charge of the communication with the client (usually, international food brands).
Data Science: Social metrics and algorithms
Understand the different standards and the need for data analysis to assess the level of compliance;
Participate in the selection and adjustment of the metrics chosen to monitor the social performances of the farms;
Support the data analyst in the improvements of the data collection tools based on the algorithms and models requirements.
Excellent Thai communication skills (oral and written + knowledge of the culture);
Excellent English communication skills (oral and written);
University degree in a field related to social sciences or agriculture;
Strong skills in project planning, financing, team management, implementation, and evaluation;
Expertise and experience in HRDD is required;
Field experience in the agricultural sector will be an asset;
Strong interest in sustainability impact, and social and environmental issues in agriculture;
Interest in working in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment (Government, NGO’s, Donors, Civil Society);
Ability to work independently, be proactive, work in a team, and stimulate good teamwork;
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and natural leadership abilities;
Excellent interpersonal skills: assertive communication, strong empathy, ability to adjust one’s behavior and communication to different cultural and educational backgrounds, and ability to adapt and develop strong relationships at all levels.
