Profile

Essential:

Strong educational background (PhD) in labour economics, migration studies, social sciences, or a related field.

▪ Essential: A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant professional experience conducting comprehensive labour market assessments, migration studies, or related fields, with a track record of relevant publications or reports.

▪ Essential: In-depth understanding of Thailand’s labour market dynamics, migration policies, and employment sectors for migrant workers.

▪ Essential: Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including data collection, analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in developing research tools such as questionnaires, interview guides, and focus group discussion guides.

▪ Essential: Excellent analytical and writing skills in English, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

▪ Essential: Proficiency in English, with preferred fluency in Thai and Burmese to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and conduct interviews.

▪ Essential: Commitment to ethical standards in research, particularly regarding the treatment of vulnerable populations such as migrant workers

▪ Desirable: Knowledge of financial inclusion services and mechanisms for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) referral systems.

▪ Desirable: Experience working directly with migrant communities and youth-focused initiatives, understanding their challenges and needs.

▪ Desirable: Familiarity with international and national frameworks related to migration and labour rights.

▪ Desirable: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively within tight deadlines
