The Commercial Project Manager - Services Business) is responsible for managing and tracking all commercial, accounting, finance, tax and legal related matters of our Long-Term Services Agreements in close cooperation with the field services engineers, the
services planners and other related functions like procurement, logistics, and safety & quality teams.
The position also requires interfacing with external stakeholders, specifically with our customer’s operations teams and commercial counterparts.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain conformity of our services projects with accounting standards to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and revenue recognition.
- Prepare, present, and evaluate project commercial data (forecasting and budgeting) for our management, project review meetings or financial audit purposes.
- Classify and control project costs and execute cost analyses together with the services team to optimize the projects’ margins.
- Carry out proactive accounts receivables management to achieve project cash flow targets.
- Ensure that change orders and warranty claims towards suppliers and customers are properly endorsed, entered, and negotiated.
- Partner up with procurement and legal team in preparation of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Keep track and manage project risks (e.g., warranty, status of asset performance and provided performance-related guarantees, supplier risks, schedule risks, etc.) and opportunities together with the services team.
- Actively communicate with customer’s commercial representatives and manage solving issues.
- Execute guarantees, bonds and LCs for performance and warranty purposes during services period and follow-up expired ones.
- Ensure sufficient insurance coverage of the projects during shipment of spare parts, onsite activities and warranty period.
- Coordination with legal interfaces for all contractual and legal activities regarding customer and 3rd parties.

• Be a self-starter who can work independently as well as a member of project teams.
• Bring vast understanding of accounting standards (USGAAP), experience in revenue recognition for long-term services contracts, understand requirements for accruals, provisions, commercial month end closing and audit activities.
• Bring experience as a commercial manager for services or accountant of construction, utility, services, renewable energy, or energy storage projects.
• Have a large interest in renewable energy and basic understanding of functioning of electricity markets and different applications/ revenue models for battery energy storage assets.
• Have experience commercial negotiations or contracts management of complex commercial transactions/ claims.
• Knowledge of logistic processes and tax topics is a bonus.
Required Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree with a major in finance, accounting or business administration.
