Formative Search is collaborating with a top maritime risk management organization, specializing in maritime safety and environmental performance for the global shipping industry. They are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Leader to shape and deliver solutions that captivate their customers and drive innovation in the maritime industry.

Leading a team of 4-5 Product Managers, you’ll blend strategic vision with hands-on execution, balancing customer needs with business goals. Your global experience and end-to-end product development expertise will be crucial as you navigate the complexities of the maritime market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of Product Managers, setting clear goals and fostering their growth. Oversee performance, salary reviews, and people management.
  • Guide product vision by leveraging market research, user feedback, and data. Develop and refine product strategies with clear business cases and ROI.
  • Direct product delivery from conception through implementation. Create and execute go-to-market strategies, ensuring technical feasibility and addressing product complexities.
  • Work with engineering, design, and other teams to drive product success. Communicate effectively with C-level executives and stakeholders.
  • Understand customer pain points through research, surveys, and data analysis to build relevant and impactful solutions.
Profile

Skills and Knowledge

  • 7-10 years of experience leading B2B SaaS products from inception to completion, with a strong understanding of technical concepts and market dynamics.
  • Skilled in aligning product strategies with business objectives and leading a product department effectively.
  • Familiar with engineering concepts and terminology to assess feasibility and provide recommendations, though not required to be a programmer.
  • Expertise in understanding customer needs and using data to drive product decisions.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills, capable of engaging with C-level executives and managing internal relationships effectively.
  • Proven ability to thrive in dynamic environments and lead through change.
