Currently, more than 1800 students are learning at GESS supported by more than 400 full time and part time academic and administrative staff members. In August 2018 GESS moved to Dairy Farm Road to a modern new school campus located at the edge of Singapore’s largest nature reserve.

Requirements / Anforderungen
- Minimum of two years teaching experience
- Recognized teaching qualification (1st and 2nd State Examination or equivalent teaching qualification) to teach Secondary I and Secondary II
- Preferably experience in teaching Abitur classes
- Knowledge, understanding or teaching experience of the German secondary school curriculum
- Articulate and effective written and oral communication in German and English, as the medium of instruction is German
- Fun and resilient personality with joy for teaching and educating young students
- Experience with teaching methods that enable individualistic learning
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good computer skills and experience with new media in class
- Openness to work in an international school setting
- Experience of working in an international school setting advantageous
- Mindestens zwei Jahre Lehrerfahrung
- Anerkannte Lehrqualifikation (1. und 2. Staatsexamen oder gleichwertige Lehrqualifikation) für den Unterricht in Sekundarstufe l und Sekundarstufe ll
- Vorzugsweise Erfahrung im Unterrichten von Abiturklassen
- Kenntnisse, Verständnis oder Unterrichtserfahrung des deutschen Sekundarschulcurriculums
- Klare und wirkungsvolle Kommunikation, sowohl schriftlich als auch mündlich, in Deutsch und Englisch, da die Unterrichtssprache Deutsch ist
- Erfahrung mit Lehrmethoden, die individuelles Lernen ermöglichen
- Fähigkeit, sowohl selbstständig als auch im Team zu arbeiten
- Gute Computerkenntnisse und Erfahrung mit neuen Medien im Unterricht
- Bereitschaft zur Arbeit in einem internationalen Schulumfeld
- Erfahrung in einem internationalen Schulumfeld von Vorteil
- Humorvolle und belastbare Persönlichkeit mit Freude am Unterrichten und Erziehen junger Menschen
- Erfahrung mit Unterrichtsmethoden, die zum individualisierten Lernen führen

Our School
The German European School Singapore (GESS) is a multi-lingual, not-for-profit, German international school in Singapore with a distinct European flavour. As an accredited ‘Excellent German School Abroad’, the German Section of GESS offers all major German school leaving certificates. In 2022, GESS will be among the best 15 schools in the final for the German School Award.
Our European Section offers tuition in English for students from grade 1 - 12 across all three IB programmes (the PYP, the MYP and the IB Diploma Programme) as an authorised IB World School.
Children aged 2 years onwards can enroll in our Preschool where children are following the PYP programme in German-speaking, English-speaking or bilingual groups.
