About the Role

You will be responsible for developing and improving packaging products and materials while working closely with Production, Quality, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service, and suppliers to ensure packaging solutions meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, quality standards, sustainability goals, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate new product development projects from concept to commercialization.
  • Develop new paper and plastic packaging products.
  • Translate customer requirements into practical and cost-effective packaging solutions.
  • Conduct technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and material selection.
  • Work with Design team to prepare samples, mock-ups, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on technical feasibility.
  • Review testing results and support troubleshooting during production.
  • Prepare validation protocols, technical reports, and product assessments.
  • Support packaging compliance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Maintain technical documentation in accordance with company procedures.

Profile

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in:

  • Packaging Technology
  • Materials Science
  • Polymer Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Or related disciplines

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in Packaging Development, Product Development, R&D, or Technical Service.
  • Experience in paper packaging, plastic packaging, food-contact materials, or FMCG industry is preferred.

Skills

  • Knowledge of paperboard, corrugated packaging, plastics, coatings, adhesives, and printing processes.
  • Understanding of packaging testing and validation.
  • Knowledge of food-contact regulations is an advantage.
  • Experience with CAD or SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
